Illegal Immigration, Murder, and a Corrupt L.A. Mayor. The Southern California Cesspool Coming Soon to a City Near You.

I felt truly saddened when this story broke on March 2nd. Jamiel Shaw Jr., a 17 year old high school football standout and ostensibly good kid was brutally and viciously gunned down near his home in Los Angeles by an illegal immigrant punk named Pedro Espinoza who apparently was eager to earn his killer wings at the ripe old age of 19. Was young Jamiel Shaw a gang member in the wrong place at the wrong time? No. Did Jamiel Shaw flash incorrect gang signs at the car load of 18th Street Gang Latino thugs that passed him by on the street? No sir. Shaw reportedly had no gang affiliation. Jamiel Shaw did absolutely nothing to contribute to his untimely and tragic end.

There is a lot more to this story and we're going to discuss it. Some have easily pigeon-holed the issue as a "Latin gang members kill blacks and black gang members in the Crips and Bloods kill Latinos" but the issue reaches into the darkest recesses of our national immigration policy and specifically into the corruption of Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. The death of an innocent child in this way is senseless enough but to know that the United States government and specifically one corrupt politician did nothing to prevent the tragedy through the utilization of concrete policy steps bloodies the collective hands beyond measure. The mayor of L.A. should be hung from a yardarm in a public street to be spat upon. Wait until you learn about his current and past affiliations.

Where should we start? Let's start with the cowardly killer. Pedro Espinoza lived in our (not his) country illegally since the age of four. Now this mindless murderer spent little of his time slithering through back alleys in the City of Angels to avoid detection that might lead to his deportation. In fact he was well acquainted with our criminal justice system and proudly owned a rap sheet longer than the California coast. Did anyone bother to check his legal status in regards to his physical presence on U.S. soil or his ties to the violent 18th Street Gang? Apparently they missed that unimportant and minute detail. Immigration officials and law enforcement officers in L.A. County are too busy running around trying to do the impossible without offending anyone. To dig into the immigration issue in a sanctuary city or arrest someone that is not white will inevitably result in hours of press conferences and apologies that result in internal affairs investigations while crime runs rampant and unchecked. Yes the rumors are true. There are neighborhoods in east L.A. that cops do not enter unless accompanied by the equivalent of a military division. That should comfort God-fearing Angelinos.

The day before Espinoza murdered Jamiel Shaw, Jr. in cold blood he confidently strode out the doors of a detention facility in Los Angeles County just as pretty as you please. He just spent four luxurious and fun-filled months there on charges involving illegal weapons possession, assault, resisting arrest, and obstructing a peace officer. Classy huh? Now maybe it's just me but would it be beyond conception to think that in these modern times of lightning quick computer databases and electronic information transfer that somewhere along the line a "cross-check" or document verification system existed that would tell officials whether or not an inmate was a legal resident? Does it concern you to know an illegal immigrant, gang member, and defendant possessing a firearm with a violent record avoids detection while in CUSTODY? It frankly boggles my mind. I know, I know I just don't understand. That is way too much to ask for. After all California is and has been the Ellis Island for western illegal immigration since the dawn of man it seems. The city cowers in the shadow of illegal gang activities that leave the streets littered with rotting corpses both innocent and culpable. After the murder of young Shaw a U.S. Immigration and Customs officer explained away the agency's lackluster involvement by saying "the system isn't 100 percent." You got that right sister. I'd venture a guess and say our system isn't even 20 percent. At any rate, Espinoza finds some 18th Street Gang members to cruise the streets with doing nothing more than wasting oxygen fit for productive members of society. Maybe before the shooting they all cuddled and got some of those gay tattoos pictured above. While driving down the street they encounter young Jamiel Shaw walking on the sidewalk near his home. Espinoza slows the car and mutters in his best "hey dude" voice to Shaw, "Where you from?" Espinoza expects to hear an appropriate gang response but probably kills the young man regardless of an affirmation that did not come from Shaw's lips. Jamiel falls to the ground on the 2100 block of Fifth Avenue after being riddled with bullets as his father runs to cradle the dying child in his arms. Ironically, young Shaw dies near a tree he planted with Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa three years ago. Let's move on to the second criminal in this case identified as Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

Villaraigosa became the city's mayor in a 2005 runoff election against Mayor Hahn. Villaraigosa is a long time philanderer of absent morality that has publicly admitted to infidelity twice. I believe his wife finally filed for divorce after living with this jerk for however many years. She must have been sleeping with Prince Valium or the like to let it go that long. Villaraigosa is believed to be a mover and shaker in the Democratic Party and many believe he has his sights set on higher office. At the least the mover and shaker part is right if you include headboards as part of the shaking process. No wonder he's a Clinton supporter. I don't know if he smokes cigars or not but he claims his personal matters have no impact on how he manages the city. Yeah, the state of the city pretty much debunks that argument Romeo.

Villaraigosa has long believed in free borders in regards to illegal Mexican immigration. A kind of "more is better" policy if you will. When asked he refused to address the issue of illegal immigrant healthcare and the closing of many hospitals in the area due to the free treatment of illegals and the resulting budgetary collapses of several hospitals. He apparently believes that new Mexican blood infused into the city somehow promises a brighter tomorrow. I see it like an infestation of cockroaches on a mostly eaten cherry danish. Eventually the best part of the pastry is gone and the cockroaches have to feed off each other to survive. If you're a race card player out there stand still a moment. I do not think Mexicans here legally or illegally are cockroaches. I am making a symbolic analogy and any comments to the contrary validate you are not intellectually competent to contribute to the discussion. We press onward.

While in college in southern California Villaraigosa participated in and retained proud membership in MEChA. I don't get the small "h" either but that's how it's listed. This is the nearly or soon to be militant wing of the illegal immigration support movement that not only wants to overrun the southwestern United States with an influx of illegal Mexicans but literally wants to reclaim this part of our country and place it under Mexican rule. They want to reclaim as they put it "Aztlan." Yeah folks, that's who the mayor of Los Angeles is and the pursuit of vanity is his indulgence. It's kind of like putting Michael Jackson in charge of a home for runaway boys. Yet the media considers him a darling and none of the Hollywood nitwits speak out against him. That's because those that control the money and media in Lalaland are rich and liberal elitists that feign compassion for those elements in society deemed as less fortunate as long as the resultant filth doesn't spill pass the gated entries to their palatial estates. Mayor Villaraigosa is a bad man that represents the denigration of any moral code however insignificant that provides stability and direction to a city, state, or country and the tax paying inhabitants. He should be banished to Cuba or the like.

How does it end? I don't think it does. At best we might be forced to struggle to stem the flow of this mutating plague. Do we have to amend the Constitution and take to the streets with our own military to wipe out gangs in the country with extreme prejudice? It's not that far fetched of a call to action. Do we rise up and physically remove corrupt politicians like L.A.'s mayor? Where is the line drawn between anarchy and the salvation of our city streets? People elected the mayor with their right to vote but do they have to die and be violated before a change can be made? What do we do? How do we stop it? The time to pray is now. Action rather than hollow words may be all that is left if the very idea of hope itself is to survive.

I'll write again tomorrow. Please forward the blog address to your friends and neighbors. I love to hear from you.

To Be or Not To Be a Worry Wart

I've never really been a big fan of stabilizing my life with man's pharmaceutical inventions but lately I've been wondering if the things I think about a lot need a dose of Prozac or perhaps I just need a swift kick in the butt to put things in perspective. Yeah, I know. I need the latter.

1. Global Warming- It's supposed to be 103 degrees here today and that would set a new record for this date. I must apologize to Al Gore because I thought he was a fraud rather than the savior of mankind. But alas wait. Global warming as he describes it is still an alarmist make you crawl under the bed and hide hoax. The Earth was warmer during the Medieval Period long before the manufacturing industry began spewing sulfur and carbon dioxide skyward in a dastardly attempt to ruin the Earth by providing jobs and economic growth so that ordinary people could survive. The earth's temperatures have risen infintismally since the 1970's "mini Ice Age" but neither Gore or his cronies will debate if man's contributions to carbon dioxide emissions actually affects the less than 1 degree rise in temperatures. He doesn't want to answer the tough questions because the republic's whole purchase of his theory in lock, stock, and barrel fashion would seriously erode his power base and thirst for "Global Popularity." At any rate, to those of you hopelessly hanging on every word Al says, just get a kiddie pool and fill it with 2 to 3 inches of water. The crisis will pass I promise.

2. What Illegal Immigration Side Effects?- While the dismal failure of our elected leaders in Washington continues to cause a slight rash on my posterior, it is their failure specifically to address border security that causes the most severe cardiac palpitations. Get a taste of how stupid we really are. An illegal immigrant is arrested twice for felonies. The arresting agencies do not make contact with Customs or Immigration. It gets better. He is released. Oh yeah, then he goes and kills a deputy sheriff in Wisconsin. Yes, all illegal immigrants are direct descendants of Mother Theresa and only want to be part of our culture. At this rate we might as well give up and concede defeat. I think maybe we all should start learning how to speak Arabic or Chinese. As weak as we've become as a society it is only a matter of time before a focused power topples us like a moldy wedding cake.

3. George Bush, a boob- Yeah I said it. I'm a conservative but not a lap dog for the Republican Party and I do try to think for myself. Why doesn't everyone else in mainstream media circles try it just for fun? What you don't hear is that every other liberal presidential candidate seeking the White House in 2008 maintains a large "boob" factor too. We have Hillary Clinton the antichrist. She can't wear short skirts anymore because her handlers are afraid the fact she is more endowed than her crooked husband may be exposed during a press conference when she insists on attempting to crucify someone else's regional accent. Barack Obama is a cartoon with no idea on how to sell you on his lack of experience. "Barack Bob Shiny Pants" is fitting I think. Bush didn't have any real experience either except that his father did occupy the post rather quietly for four years. Mitt Romney is strange like that weird "petting" uncle you once had. Republican hopeful John McCain maintains a clenched grimace and a "Charlie's coming in from the jungle" flashback smile that may result in the gunning down of at least three NBC reporters before the primary season ends. David Gregory, I suggest you remain seated in the chair at the rear of the press gathering. The point is to think for yourself and believe nothing you hear on network news or read in the papers. Subscribe to the New York Times or the L.A. Times only if you can't find a reasonable sale on toilet paper elsewhere. Watch the news and read the papers for entertainment purposes only. Reporting the news in a fair and accurate fashion died in the early to mid sixties and it is gone for good. Form your own opinions and do your own research utilizing the melon atop your shoulders. Consider modern news in the same league with "Desperate Housewives."

4. Pet Abusers- I know that pets are animals and have their place of importance somewhere far below the human level but good Lord. Some guy named something like Pompeii Geraldo Rodriguez Lupi Javier Rodriguez Rodriguez dragged a puppy alongside his SUV until stopped by police. Let's call the guy Bill. So anyway Bill drags an innocent creature, just a pup no less, until it is nearly dead. When stopped he is asked if he is going to take the animal to be treated for its injuries and he says no. He is arrested and taken to a jail where at this hour he is probably watching HBO in the cell on the taxpayer dime. If Bill can do this to a harmless puppy, just think of what he could do to a human with interactive social and cognitive skills. He could really think of something abusive to do to it. I'm not in it because I care anything about the animal rights movement but beware of those that take great joy in being cruel to innocent animals. They tend to be even more violent to humans with functioning brains. When I was a cop he was the kind of guy I wanted to get the facts from, handcuff, and leash to the back of my SUV for a little session along a dirt road and maybe a safflower field. I think I lacked the compassion to be voted most "inspirational officer."

Illegal Immigration, For the Umpteenth Time

I scrolled through an article describing the deaths of three illegal immigrants on the Arizona-Mexico border. Arizona governor Janet Napolitano promises to get to the bottom of the activity with an ensuing investigation and proper law enforcement action. A snippet of truth entered into the article when it mentioned the illegal immigrants were probably gunned down by rival smugglers. Of course the corrupt, chaotic, and inept Mexican government blames anybody and everybody but themselves for our illegal immigration and border security problems. In a way they are quite right. Our government's lack of action and reform on this issue is nothing short of disastrous.

I sure am glad my proposed illegal immigration and border security initiatives haven't received the coverage I hoped they would. I am not sure how the Mexicans say "hate monger" in their native tongue and I wouldn't take the time for a translation. For those of you who have unfortunately missed out, I will repeat my proposal for the last and umpteenth time. First we make the impossible task of rounding up the 11 million illegal immigrants in this country possible. With all the money illegal criminals from Mexico are bilking from local government entitlement programs and healthcare funds sweated out by legal taxpayers, that money would be better spent on a massive law enforcement roundup and handcuffing rodeo.

Next our merry, multimillion numbered, non-taxpaying, non-English speaking band of illegal takers shall be gently coaxed south towards the Rio Grande by law enforcement officers with an excellent command of the ENGLISH language. Under the supervision of American forces these same criminals will construct a forty foot high wall that is 12 feet thick lined internally with rebar, steel, and pipe supports. You will not chip away at this wall. The wall starts in the Pacific Ocean and ends in the Gulf of Mexico. There will be one crossing suitable for pedestrian and vehicle crossing in each state (California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas) and one crossing only. Each crossing will be manned by a division of Customs and Border Patrol personnel complete with roaming guards, infrared cameras, and long range weaponry capable of reaching out and touching someone at sufficient distance.

To further discourage illegal entry the south face of our newly constructed monolith shall contain crisscrossed rows of highly charged electrical conduit capable of jumpstarting the Sun if touched. To be fair and humane, warning signs in both English and Spanish shall be constructed along the path leading to each crossing. The signs shall be posted several times starting a mile in advance so that the devious minds trying to outfox my system have been fairly and properly warned of the dangers of illegal entry. For those that don't read and need a picture, you know like those deer crossing the highway signs, there will also be a sign indicating a mosquito flying into a giant bugzapper. That should just about cover any international liability cases. I would hope to conduct a quick test run of the wall and the effectiveness of the warning signs with any ACLU attorneys willing to volunteer their services for this public service endeavor.

Lastly, our rounded up illegal workers that so graciously helped us construct our wall will be given the first chance to use our newly constructed crossings as they make their trek to Mexico. If they want to come back they can follow a path to citizenship just like my ancestors before me did. That path includes having command of the English language before any application for United States citizenship is considered.

If you think this is too harsh, check out Mexico's policies on immigration in case you have the burning desire to pursue Mexican citizenship. My proposals are sugar and spice in comparison. At any rate, the border is a disaster and perhaps the only solution is a stark and menacing statement indicating that Americans are no longer willing to sacrifice their money and security to benefit the failed policies of a degenerate nation like Mexico. Our illegal immigrant problem is not our problem at all; it is theirs. I am tired of watching the disintegration of national policy at the expense of We the People. We are simply pawns in the political machine that chews us up and spits us out. Let's at least have the pride and strength to stand up to the country of Mexico. If we don't have the intestinal fortitude to protect our borders and the laws regarding citizenship, where are we going as a nation?

Some Top Stories and Reflections from 2006

The Iraq conundrum: By now most of us know the war in Iraq needs a change in direction to achieve a positive outcome. No, we cannot pull up stakes and run like a buckshot coyote but there are some strategic and tactical redeployments that many believe give us a better chance of protecting our own and quelling the insurgency. Republicans, Democrats, Independents, and a majority of dermatologists underestimated the levels of horror and violence thrust upon the Iraqi population and our military by radical Islamic extremists. We simply failed to understand that so many young sheep allowed insane clerics and imams to convince them to strap bombs to their chests and cars on their one way journey to hell. If, and I say if the Bush Administration and Pentagon decide that a temporary troop surge is necessary than please attempt the following steps: (1) Use the temporary increase in troop strength to bolster the Iraqi security forces in and around Baghdad. As Baghdad goes, so goes Iraq. (2) A phased redeployment to the borders with Syria and Iran is a must. Iranian revolutionary guards provide manpower, training, and weapons to those committing violence and destroying the future of Iraq and Lebanon. In fact, seal the borders until the government takes its feet, an economy grows, and the transfer of weapons and willing homicide bombers ends. (3) Provide more special operations through the use of intelligence and counterintelligence. Why not use special forces to wipe out some of the most radical fuelers of the insurgency instead of allowing them to hide behind religious protections?

Islamic extremism: The self-proclaimed dictator of Iran is as vile a human being as Hitler ever was in his darkest hour. The world sits stupidly with a dumb grin while Ahmadinejad promises to destroy Israel and America. Does this ring any bells? How about 1935 to 1939? Oh by the way, the IAEA functions as a futile body in Iran because they inspect only what he says they can inspect and soon they are on the way out of the country altogether. Make no mistake about it. The traces of polonium and uranium have nothing to do with the peaceful pursuit of nuclear energy for Iran. Iran intends to make nuclear bombs and the delivery systems are already in place to destroy Israel and reach the eastern seaboard of the U.S. We have two choices in finding peace in the Middle East. The root of radical Islam must be ferreted out and destroyed. Few people understand that a majority of the young people dying as supposed martyrs have far less command of Arabic than the murderous clerics do. They listen to the twisted words and hate of those desiring world domination with little ability to decipher the Quran on their own terms. Complete and direct sanctions against Middle Eastern countries that fail to assist us in ending extremist violence is a starting point. Don't fear the collateral damage. You should be wondering why you see no moderate Muslim outrage during the hot days of violence and death in the Middle East. Make no mistake, the core of the Islamic violence wants a Muslim world with no Christians, Jews, or Laker fans in it.

Illegal Immigration: Election 2006, Amnesty Wins!
How stupid are we really? This issue alone guaranteed the reelection of some of the country's conservative representatives on this issue. Boy was I wrong. Now the amnesty cowards feel free to push their agenda at will. I will make one last push for my immigration plan and then I fear I will tire. I do not request a border fence. I want a border blockade. A forty foot concrete wall constructed by the 11 million illegal immigrants already sucking up taxpayer dollars in this country suffices. There will be several openings, maybe 6, in this border-long conrete wall manned by large border patrol contingencies and customs officials. I know there may be crafty ways to attempt the scaling of my proposed concrete monolith so I am encouraging high voltage electric conduit to be placed in two foot increments up the face of my structure. Large warning signs in several languages are placed everywhere as tall as billboards warning of the danger of approaching the wall at other than an approved border patrol crossing. Then and only then can we start on the Canadian border, eh? Right now in northern Montana 20 divisions of the Chinese army could march into the United States unimpeded. The days of warm hugs and blowing kisses across our borders are over. This is a violent world with many in it wishing us death. Immigrants, more specifically illegal immigrants, can apply for citizenship the way my forefathers did, legally. Don't come here and wave Mexican flags and disrupt traffic and schools for the Americans that are paying for your healthcare and educations with little from you in return. Tough talk you say? Try following the rules to immigrate to Mexico. I think you'll find my proposals are gentle as a lamb.

ILLEGAL immigration boycott

At first I was mildly annoyed by this past month's protest marches filled with rhetoric spoken in Spanish, upside down American flags, and a bunch of baggy pants carrying the Mexican flag up and down U.S. streets. This Spanish language version of the national anthem is the last straw for me. I hope any worker, illegal or otherwise, that skips work to participate in a march that is intended to cripple the economy these same protesters find safe haven in, are fired and hopefully deported immediately. Spanish kids that skip school to participate in this embarrassing march, I hope you are expelled and take up protests in China or something. Good luck with that language. I hate to see my tax dollars going to the "Mexican conversion" of our schools anyway. To be fair, maybe the illegal immigrants and their "huervos rancheros" supporters will be truly circumspect and honorable ruining the economy (ruining the economy because they are plugging the streets blocking transportation routes). I hope their focus is truly well rounded and they boycott all U.S. businesses like emergency rooms, food stamp lines, classrooms (tuition free) and refraining from driving cars on our streets without licenses. I went from wanting a secure border fence to a big thick wall lined with electric conduit. I would put up big warning signs, don't touch or else in "Mexican". If someone tried or if many tried, a nighttime flight overhead would expose what looked to be a giant bug zapper protecting our borders and the rights of America's legal middle class. Immigration madness?

I am not sure if the recent immigration protests in large American cities are humouous or not. At least 80,000 Hispanic workers did not show up for work the day of the protest marches. My first reaction is "fire them." Long story short, lax immigration policies have put the entire situation in a bind. Congress is considering making illegal stays in our country a felony, something well overdue I surmise. One Hispanic woman was quoted as saying, "My husband is an illegal immigrant and if he is deported, how will I support myself and our four children?" Maybe you should've thought of that prior to moving in and sucking local public assistance dry. Maybe creating four mouths to feed knowing your husband is an illegal immigrant was a poor and risky decision. Time will tell.
