Bad Decisions Lead to Chaos and Tragedy

It seems two stories involving the murder of wives/lovers and children by fathers/lovers verify suspicions that our society finds itself infested by moral decay. Both men have been arrested and charged with the murders of their children and in one case a spouse and in the other a female mistress. They are innocent until proven guilty but let's proceed with the discussion from the standpoint of if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it is probably a duck.

The body of Jesse Davis was found on Saturday in the remote woods of a park 25 miles from her home in Canton, OH. A married police officer, Bobby Cutts, Jr. is the father of the unborn child in the deceased woman's womb and thus he has been charged with two counts of murder. As I understand it he is also the father of a two year old that apparently watched the murder take place, allegedly at the hands of his own father. Media interviews have rightly captured the tormented family's grief and suffering at wondering to what end their loved one succumbed to. It is simply gruesome to visualize a father killing his lover and unborn child in front of his two year old and then leaving the child in the home. But why did she have not one but two children with a man that apparently was proud of popping out children and walking away from them as if they were unwanted pets? What in the hell was wrong with her? She chose to have children with a deadbeat and the results of her terrible decision making equals death and a lifetime of chaos for her living child. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson rant against bimbo Paris Hilton's special treatment but abandon their own and fail to call for responsibility in what has become a fatherless culture based on selfish moral relativism. The lack of accountability eats us from the inside out yet the media and politicians strive for legislating morals and principles out of daily discourse. I'm telling you, it's the fall of the Roman Empire all over again.

How about the white guy that pulls over on a frontage road and kills his wife and children, leaves the murder weapon at the scene, and flags down a motorist telling them his family just got killed. It wouldn't take a very seasoned investigator to smell a rat in the first 12 seconds of this investigation. They killed your family and left the gun but miracuously you escaped and preserved evidence for us. There shouldn't even be a trial in this case. The only way this idiot escapes justice is if a liberal appeals court throws out his conviction because the cops put his handcuffs on too tight or if the jailer provided him with only one blanket instead of two prior to sentencing. Before a public hanging of this horror of a man, I would recommend the public return of caning so he can feel his flesh burn just like his family felt the searing of the bullets in their bodies. Can you imagine the shock and horror in the children's eyes as they watched their father prepare to murder them? The all-American family with a nice home, income, and life uprooted by sociopathic rage. What do you bet there was another woman involved? I am sure that short of this man being a blood brother to Ted Bundy there was some selfish motive and irresponsible desire that he allowed to consume him.

Nothing that could happen to these two despicable (if found guilty of course and blah, blah, blah after much waste of taxpayer time and money) human beings equals what waits for them beyond their own graves. I hope they like the heat.

Don Imus Cues Up the Spotlight of the Double Standard

Don Imus really stepped in it this time. It's a good thing his normal attire includes cowboy boots with a deep heel. The long time CBS radio personality whose syndicated show appeared by simulcast on MSNBC was fired as a result of racially charged comments directed at the Rutgers University women's basketball team. I think I saw him last night hovering in a corner booth at a local pub with Michael Richards. Advertisers began pulling ad space and dollars faster than you can say Rainbow Push Coalition. Al Sharpton nearly tripped over his own pompadour with the realization that his efforts bore fruit in the dismissal of Imus. To be sure, Don's remarks were both insensitive and ignorant given the standards of altruistic political correctness. Does Imus and his circle of friends usually carry on with such sardonic derision in private? You better believe it. Sharpton and Jesse Jackson successfully dine on the misery of others and acquire a well-publicized platform from which to pontificate their golden visions of who is right and who is wrong.

First of all, Don Imus should be punished for what he said and he was. Now I think Jackson, Sharpton, and apologists like Russell Simmons need to be held to the same lofty standards. Simmons and other Hollywood moguls like David Geffen (Interscope) promote through hip-hop and rap music (calling it music is a stretch) the same and often worse tenets adopted by the youth in the African-American community and white communities as well. Every rich repugnant rapper (note the alliteration) glorifies violence, promiscuity, misogynistic ideals, and filthy speech over the public airwaves. What Russell Simmons calls "artistic expression" is really little more than a rationalization for protecting his wealth earned at the expense of cultural degeneration. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton have no qualms being seen with these rappers and taking the opportunity to be seen and heard with monies from the industry and advertising mediabytes created by these foul record labels.

What Don Imus said is terrifically inappropriate but less vile than what Simmon's prodigies "rap" and "bang" about over the airwaves. Don Imus gets fired for an inappropriate tongue in cheek slur but the hatred and self-destructive rappers continue to receive glorification from the leaders in the black community. Just remember granny's old saying, "What's good for the goose is good for the gander." In our case, "What's good for the goose is good for the raven."

Do you want more proof of overblown sensitivities? CBS doesn't fire Dan Rather for his liberal bias and false reporting although he later resigns over public shame. What about that quack Rosie O'Donnell? Talk about being a sandwich short of a picnic. She is about as sharp as a pound of wet liver. ABC lets her conspiracy theories receive more than ample air time as she continues to accuse the President and the United States government of plotting and carrying out the 9/11 attacks. Her defense of terrorists by comparing conservative Christians to radical Islamic terrorists is not only wrong but treasonous. Rosie doesn't even get a slap on the hand. I know she's a big girl and may slap back but her venom is just as ridiculous as any other we've heard this past week. I am so sick of "feelings being hurt" and "in what context did you apply to a given word." Get over it people and toughen up. There are bigger disasters looming on the horizon than worrying about who called whom what "offensive" name. Good Lord, how did any of these people survive grade school? I don't remember a lot of counseling back in the day.

Defense attorneys have come forward and proclaimed to the press that no positive DNA linking the alleged lacrosse players to the sexual assault of a black student/stripper was obtained after an extensive evidence search. The local district attorney came forward and said that the case was not over, signifying that perhaps enough evidence existed to go forward with a case against one or more of the players. The case has divided the Duke campus and the city of Durham. One of the lacrosse players was not tested because he is a black man and the victim specifically stated that her assailant(s) were white. The victim's brother held a press conference stating that the general public is trying to make his sister the guilty party by portraying her as "just a stripper." He further stated that she is an exotic dancer and student and works to provide for her family. Why not get a job as a bank teller or clerk? If you don't jump in the pool you probably won't get wet. Two things, maybe three. First, if any lacrosse player commited sexual assault or sexual intercourse without consent (Montana statute terminology) then prosecute and convict them. Second, if the alleged victim had been a white girl and excluded the lone white player and said her assailant(s) were black the airwaves would be jammed on CNN with full length interviews of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson railing against the stereotyping of black men as criminals. There is a double standard in this country you know. Third, personal behavior does matter. No, a women who is a mother who is a stripper does not deserve to be assaulted sexually or otherwise. Her personal choices did, however, put her in danger. Her activities are conducive with the "welling up" of the seediest elements and behaviors in society.
